Dotti F. Ramey, P.E.

Ph.D. student. MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla (Missouri University of Science & Technology). I am investigating recovery of nutrients from wastewater. We are exploring the design kinetics of using algae to extract nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater plant effluent, and investigating how the process might be optimized to enhance production of lipids for biodiesel, starches and sugars for ethanol or biogas production, or protein for animal feed. My research is funded by the NSF through the Engineering Research Center for Re-inventing the Nation’s Urban Water Infrastructure (ReNUWIt). My advisor is Professor Tzahi Cath.
