PhD Student. MS in Mechanical Engineering (2012) from the Colorado School of Mines; BS in Environmental Sciences (2001) from the University of Vermont. I am studying crystallization during membrane distillation processes to better understand the mechanisms and limitations of mass and heat transfer in the hybrid membrane distillation and crystallization process. The overall goal of this research, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, is to develop better desalination techniques that have higher recovery from hypersaline resources and may be simultaneously used to harvest valuable minerals from the water. My faculty advisor is Professor Tzahi Cath.
